Mahuri kalua Temple

On the top of Kerandi mountains, about fifteen kilometres away from Berhampur city, there lies creamy Mahuri Shrines, the goddess of war. A Mysterious, scenic and beautiful temple nested with all serenity, divinity, purity, grace and grandeur. It is believed that Mahuri, the ishtha Devi of mahuri kings constantly helped the kings to fight against Britishers. Also, the kings always won till they took war weapons from the goddess.

Ghodahada Dam

Built on the pinnacle of Vijayanagar fort, it adds charms to the place. The weird name of the dam which means 'bones of horse' in odia, has folktales stapled to it. Once the king was crossing the river but his horse fell down and from that Day, the place takes its name 'Ghodahada'. The place is a crocodile reservoir with beautiful natural surroundings. You will certainly feel like a jungle child here.

Potagada Fort

Popularly known as frigate fort. The colonisation era of French, Portuguese and British East India Company has left trails on its walls. Mostly it's the remaining ruins of the fort that speaks 350 yrs old Odisha's naval history with a heavy backdrop of foreign culture in its walls. The name given to it, again has an interesting story behind it. Once when there was an epidemic engulfed in this place, the dead bodies were buried down in this fort. Haunted huh? Hillpatna Ganesh Temple

A beautiful and a large Siddhi Vinayak Temple is one of the highly religious and special attractions of the city. Crowd during Ganesh Chaturthi is worth a watch in the temple. Hillpatna is located a distance of just 1km from Berhampur Railway station.

Haripur Beach

An exotic and unexplored tourist attraction; located in Narayanpur village, about fifteen kilometres away from the Berhampur city. As the sun sets and clouds hang over, you can watch the fishermen walking back to their homes. Taptapani

Nearest town to the destination is Mohana and about 88kms from the main city of Berhampur. Biranchi Narayan Temple

It is the second Surya Temple of Odisha after Konark. It is the abode of Viranchinarayan and is also called wooden Konark. It is located at a distance of 80 kms from the city.

Budhakhola

It is strongly believed that Lord Buddha had visited the place and preached Buddhism. Bateswara Temple

It is one of the oldest temples of Odisha, established and worshiped since 9 th century. The temple holds a major archeological importance. An absolute combination of enjoyment and devotion as the Bateshwar beach is located by the side of the temple. One of the most preferred places for picnic and tourism by the people of Odisha. It is located at a distance of 47 kms from the city.

Arryapalli Beach

It is a hidden treasure among the beaches of Ganjam. Calm, scarcely crowded yet different than the other beaches. Located near Gopalpur port, you might also witness ships sometimes.
